About school: Rishi Valmiki Eco School (RVES) is a low income English Medium School registered under Dnyansadhana Education Society’s Trust, located in Goregaon West. It is a non-profit school working for underprivileged kids coming from a weak socio- economic background. RVES caters to 567 students from Nursery to grade 10, and focuses on their overall development. RVES hires qualified teachers, provides books and worksheets for students, conducts remedial education for weak students, provides computer education, life skills lectures, wildlife training, spoken English and public speaking, karate and football coaching by certified trainers. In addition, our school regularly sends students on nature trails, wildlife camps and organises Annual Events like Wild Life fest, Earth Mela, Knowledge Fair, etc. Since RVES is an Eco School we encourage our students and staff to be non-polluting and we advocate an eco-friendly environment in school. We have also included Nature Education along with the Maharashtra Board Syllabus, a unique feature of RVES. Nature Education includes story based teaching modules which creates interest among students to learn and understand the environment.

Why Prayosha: Prayosha works for girl child education and financially supports girls who are performing well in their academics. Girls coming from weak economic backgrounds face challenges in continuing with their studies as their parents can often not afford the fees or they give priority to educating the boy in the family. At RVES we encourage girl education since we believe in gender equality. The values and objectives of Prayosha co-align with those of RVES, therefore we are happy to be in association with Prayosha and participate in their goal of educating and empowering more and more girls in the near future.
