Dheena Desai - Educator/Trustee

Dheena Desai is an educator currently teaching Chemistry in Jai Hind College, Churchgate, Mumbai. She strongly believes in Nelson Mandela’s words, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.”

 

She started her teaching career in St. Xavier’s College, Marine lines where she taught for 6 years.

 

She believes that over the past decades girls have not been given enough opportunities. Hence by educating our angels, we boost their confidence and more importantly their “SELF ESTEEM.” This will help further in strengthening their families and our nation.

 

Her inspiration came from her school friend, the founder member Mrs Meena Patel during her presentation on ‘Prayosha’. Her association with Mrs Meena gave birth to new ideas which soon became a mission through which equality in education would lead to an equal and balanced society.
